Choir at Annual Service of Remembrance

2015 was a busy year for the choir. They had an opportunity to sing in the most prestigious event that took place at University of Johannesburg – the LEAD SA CHANGE MAKERS annual awards ceremony which was streamed live. The Choir entertained the audience both outside the auditorium and on the stage. They opened the conference with the national anthem and later on performed again centre stage.

The Choir once again entered the annual National Eisteddfod held at Linden Hoërskool where they received a Diploma (90% plus) award and high praise for their performance.

Message from the 2015 Captain of the Choir:

Music, leadership and fun. These are the elements that guided the King Edwards choir to reach the ultimate goal, diploma.

It is the music that brings us together and this year the choir was able to reach great heights. With the help of talented and dedicated coaching from Mr. Khanye and Mr. Greenburg and expert administration from Mrs. Mania, the Choir sang at numerous events which received enthusiastic responses. This September/October the choir took part in the annual National Eisteddfod with the goal of receiving a diploma and we are very proud to say that we are the only the second King Edward Choir group to receive this award.

We would like to thank everyone involved in this very successful year of music, leadership and enjoyment. We trust that the choir will continue with this success in the future.
