KES Accounting Department place Joint 1st in Gauteng in National Olympiad!

KING EDWARD VII SCHOOL, has achieved joint 1st Position in Gauteng Province in the South African National Accounting Olympiad 2018. Congratulations to all the Accounting learners and the teachers at King Edward VII School who were involved in the joint success of our school in the Olympiad.

Head of Accounting, Ms Avidon proudly reports back:


This year saw 6700 Grade 11 and 12 learners, from 478 private and public schools across the country, take part in the first round of the SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) National Accounting Olympiad. Less than 15% of those learners, qualified to write the second round.

Two Grade 12 learners from King Edward VII School were placed in the TOP 10 in Gauteng:

The other Grade 12 Accounting learners who qualified to write the second round of the SAIPA Olympiad were: Liam Armstrong, Keane Morse, Stephen Newland-Nell, Matthew Titterton and Dylan Curtis.

Our Grade 11’s were exceptional! Of the 15 King Edward Accounting learners who wrote the 1st round Olympiad, 14 qualified for the second round.
