HISTORY

King Edward VII has one of the most successful school soccer programs in South Africa. We have won all the major 1st team tournaments in the country over the past few years, including The FNB Kloof High School Soccer Tournament, The FNB St David’s Soccer Challenge, The FNB Grey College Soccer Tournament and the St Peter’s Soccer Festival.

2018

King Edward’s 1st XI won the 2018 St David’s U19 Challenge Cup Tournment on 5 August 2018, beating Grey College 2-0 in the final.

Two goals by striker Rowan Sydney sealed the win for King Edward – here is goal no 2.

 

 

On 16 September King Edward VII School secured a 2nd tournament/festival win for 2018, when they beat Norkem Park High in the St Peter’s Festival to be named:

2018 SPC Festival 1st Soccer Champions

King Edward’s 1st XI won The FNB Grey College Soccer Tournament in 2010.

In 2013 King Edward VII School u15A won the St David’s Marist Soccer Festival and on the 15 September 2013, King Edward VII School 1st XI were crowned the 2013 St Peter’s Festival Champions.

In 2015 King Edward VII School 1st Team played in the final of the 2015 Challenge Cup, vs the hosts, St David’s Marist and narrowly lost 0-1. Our u15A’s placed 5th overall at the St David’s Festival.
