WATER POLO

Water polo at King Edward VII School has the reputation of an exciting and highly enjoyable  competitive sport. Strength, skill, endurance and sound dedication play important roles in order for players to reach their full potential.

There are many challenges set by this physically demanding sport that, when met, maintain a high standard of competitiveness. All coaching staff are knowledgeable and approachable and set high standards of ethics.

Annually our water polo programme has produced both provincial and national players from all age groups. Training, which takes place 2-5 times per week, includes conditioning, ball and technical skills, strategy and match simulations.

Matches are held against top water polo teams from all over the country.

" Since 1935, when the sport was first played at the School, water polo has prospered and produced more Springbok water polo players than any school in the country. "
